Dr. Kari Searls
Born and raised in Iowa City, Dr. Kari Searls grew up riding dressage and competing at local hunter/ jumper shows, working with trainers and veterinarians in the area.
She attended University of Massachusetts Amherst, majoring in pre-veterinary studies and minoring in history. During her time at UMASS she was very involved with the IHSA Equitation Team.
She attended Iowa State University for veterinary school and completed a yearlong internship with Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Hospital in Los Olivos, California.
Professionally, her interests include upper airway disease, lameness and diagnostic imaging. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her dog, Naya, kayaking, and spending time with family and friends.
